Matt grew up in New Jersey and spent many summers at the Jersey Shore. No, he has never watched the Jersey Shore. No, he has never met the Situation. However, he owns numerous (made-up) family records for crushing boardwalk claw machines and winning unhealthy amounts of candy. Matt is also a diehard Yankees fan (no Aaron Judge[ment] please). Emily grew up in Virginia and is an avid reader and lover of nature, bees, and birds. We have the birdhouse development to prove it, but they never pay the HOA fee. We met in college in Washington, DC, and settled in Northern Virginia. We have two awesome kids who humble Matt regularly.
We love the beach and spent many vacations at beaches up and down the East Coast. One day, Emily "forced" Matt to watch HGTV where we first learned about Cape Charles. Who knew Virginia had a peninsula? We fell in love with the small-town charm of Cape Charles and the calm, warm, shallow waters of the Chesapeake Bay. We took a leap and purchased Wave Haven in Bay Creek's Bayside Village as a place to make memories. We are happy to share our home with you to create your own memories.
